In November, in VDNH Concert Hall, STB and StarLight Entertainment will present their third off-air project – Korydor (Сorridor), a unique dance performance. The authors of the performance are a couple, creators of Vartovi Mrii show and Dim Taiemnychykh Pryhod, Yurii Prystaietskyi and Tala Prystaietska (Onyshchuk) .
“Korydor is a symbolic reflection of the human life path” – reveals the secret of the plot choreographer Yurii Prystaietskyi. “The main character of the play is moving through it, getting into different rooms. There are only three rooms: family, friendship and love. These are the pillars on which our whole life is holding on. In each room, the hero will have to withstand various challenges. His story shows how we can affect the lives of other people, shaping their future by our actions.”
The performance involves 13 strongest and most experienced Ukrainian artists. The leading parts are played by STB audience’s favorite participants from Tantsiuiut Vsi! show: Andrii Hlushyk, Yana Abramova and Roman Dmytryk.
Viktoria Bessarab, a chief makeup artist of STB, designed masks for dancers who embodied the images of the internal demons. Kateryna Olishevska, STB’s costume designer, helped Victoria to sketch masks and designed the costumes.
The premiere of the short version of the Korydor was at Gogol Fest-2015 Festival of Contemporary Art. An extended version was presented at KMATOB-FEST-2016 Festival of Choreographic Art. However, the full version of the performance will be presented for the first time.
Korydor choreographic performance will be on for only three days – 18,19 and 20 November – in Kiev VDNH Concert Hall (1 Akademika Hlushkova Ave).
